Another nice day today

Well, the storm that was coming came and gave us some rain down here in the valley and some snow up in the mountains.

Daniel and I went for another walk today (we go on lots of walks, it keeps me sane I think) and we were treated to some lovely weather and some nice views. Snow in the mountains, grass still green, leafs changing colors, warmer temps with just a little bit of a cool breeze.

So nice.

Not too many people up and moving around yet.

When I was in high school and in full "need to escape" mode I found a giant poster, probably about 2 or 3 feet high by 6 or 7 feet long, that looked very much like this beach scene.

 

But I didn't just hang it on my wall, I actually took the time and built a billboard type frame that when I attached it to my bedroom wall and hung the poster on it, it stuck out from the wall by several inches. It kind of made it look like it was suspended in air, almost floating.

 

And the wall it was on was the one at the foot of my bed, so every morning when I woke up this was the first thing I saw.

 

It made high school life quite a bit easier.
